I ate there a few months ago. The food was horrid and expensive. We had a prawns appetizer and scallops as the entree. Both tasted like the oil they were cooked in. I called a few days later to give feedback to the chef. I told the person who answered the phone what the problems were. Nobody ever called me back.
My wife and I were looking forward to a nice stay at the Carnegie House, but were severely disappointed. The restaurant is excellent (expect to pay $$$), but the hotel/inn was a big disappointment.
Very large, well appointed guest rooms with modern amenities. Staff was superb and highly attentive and considerate. Lovely shower and amenities there too. Would definitely return
Great location for visits to PSU. Wil at the front desk is incredibly nice and helpful. Chef offers a menu that will wow your palate. Pastries and yogurt parfaits at the breakfast nook are top notch. Kyle, thank you for a lovely evening in the pub!
