Dr Frank Carmody helped me through the toughest time of my life during Christmas 2015. He did so with kindness and compassion while wearing fabulous boots. He was able to make me laugh when all I thought I could do was cry. He really took care of me and his staff were lovely, warm people too. Frank will forever be in my heart and is an important part in the memories I have of my tiny daughter. He is a beautiful man.

Dr Carmody failed to realise the importance of the concerns with fetal growth during my morphology scan at 21 weeks. On top of that, he failed to see a fetal anomaly. His impression of the heart was that it “appeared normal” He suggested a follow-up at 28 weeks (!) to check the fetal growth, but my obstetrician wasn’t willing to wait for so long, so my obstetrician referred me elsewhere. This was where growth surveillance scans subsequently identified fetal growth restriction, as well as congenital heart disease. This led to... read more

Today was my first visit for our Nuchal translucency scan. We originally had an appointment for friday but it turns out we were further along than we thought. I rang the office yesterday and advised the receptionist of the size of our baby and without hesitation or frustration she booked us in the next morning at 8am for our scan. Michelle was so friendly on the front counter when greeting us and congratulating us on our news. We briefly met Dr Frank Carmody before Jasmine took over our scan. Jasmine was so professional on e... read more

Friendly receiptionists, I'd like to kindly complement that especially Michelle at Wesley Unit helped me a lot! I had an impression that all the receptionists here are smart and professional about their job that I could completely trust and reply on their information. - and this was one of the biggest reasons towards making an appointment here. They explained exactly and thoroughly what I had to prepare for my 1st NT scan. They are doing their job very well as well as every other staff working at Fetal Medicine. This place i... read more
