Horribly inattentive staff at happy hour. I had to interrupt their Spanish conversation about five times in the 45 minutes I was there. And that includes having to interrupt them to let them know all of the older folks at the bar we're also waiting to order and not sure what to do. People were thanking ME for getting their orders taken. I worked in plenty of restaurants so I know there's a lot of chit chat but this was beyond silly. Really, really impressive restaurant. I dined at Carmine’s for the first time last month, and it’s apparent why this restaurant has been around for decades. The food and service were both great. First I tried the calamari, which was tender and arrived at the table hot like the sun. My main dish was the veal chop parmesan, which was huge and cooked perfectly. Truly impressive.
