One of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. It has become my usual lunch spot for nearly 2 years now. The staff, led by the owners Andy and Carmen, are friendly, attentive, and compassionate. They get to know everyone who comes in and make sure you are satisfied. Fantastic food, fantastic people, I can't sing their praises enough. Be sure to stop in and give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.
Amazing food and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I had the stew, tostones, and a chicken empanadilla, and everything was delicious and well made. I especially loved the classic Malta, such a great addition and hard to find! I do wish the stew was a little less thick, just a personal preference since I like it with a bit more broth, but overall everything was amazing. Definitely would come back!
This place is truly a gem. The family who run this restaurant take great pride in what they do and it shows in every aspect. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the ambiance is cozy. I’m thankful for their delicious vegetarian options, like the shiitake mix and empanadas. My husband recommends the steak and onion sandwich.
Stopping in to check out a high end thrift store in a plaza, we parked in front of Carmen’s Cooking. We decided to make it our lunch stop for the day and upon walking in a delicious aroma immediately tantalized our senses. The staff was super friendly and service very quick. I can't recommend Carmen's Cooking enough! I am a Spanish teacher and I wanted Carmen's Cooking to cater some food for my high school Spanish classes. Andy made the entire process run so smoothly. He helped me decide how much food would be appropriate for the number of students, he was flexible when details about the day changed, and he was great with the delivery of the food and talking to the students about the food that they were going to try!
