Terrible counselor in my opinion that makes you feel worse leaving out than what you did, coming in. She has a single faceted approach when addressing issues. Further, she targets one issue and one issue only, one that's completely irrelevant, locks onto it, and gets tunnel vision, while completely ignoring the host of other issues. Carmen tries to use “tough love” approaches to therapy. Which are psychologically proven to make the conditions of mentally unwell clients worse. She is unprofessional, rude, and a liar. She lied to me along with her staff for over 3 years. Front desk staff is full of unprofessional people who lie about clients and do not do their job whatsoever. Terrific counselor. I saw her when she was employed by RACSB. Smart woman. No nonsense. You can tell that she cares about people and is driven to help them. On a side note, the clinic director of RACSB at the time, John F. Childress, is a total POS.
