Dinner started with fresh baked bread and butter and a simple salad. I chose the Eggplant parmigiana. The sauce was tasty, eggplant and spaghetti well cooked, presented nicely and went together well. Waiter service is pleasant and attentive with a white tablecloth table setting - which is increasingly rare these days. A good old-fashioned Italian restaurant deserving of your custom
We had an amazing dinner experience, and our waiter was knowledgeable, timely service, and food was exquisite. Of course, the Italian red wine a wonderful paring! Parking available! We'll be back .
We went on February 15th so they had the special Valentine’s Day menu. The meal was very good but the service was slow and they were packed. We got bread and butter upon sitting down. We each ordered a drink: lemon drop and Italian surfer (had them make it with just cranberry no pineapple juice). Then had our house salads. The dressing was amazing. The short take- classic casual Italian place, excellent food, solid service and a serviceable and well priced wine list. Worth it. For Charlottesville it's a steal. The longer take. I will forgive some of the younger reviewers there gripes. If you didn't work in the restaurant industry in the 80's, 90's, aughts and teens, you won't know about the death of old school fine-dining, the rise of casual fine-dining that built an entire new ecosystem- French Laundry mammals living among the bones of Maisonette dinosaurs.
