If you are in ideal health; and fit and able as a 30 year old, Carmel Village could work for you. But if you want working elevators and would like at least adequate care; and would like more activities than basically bingo, stay way from Carmel Village. Additionally, meals here are less than satisfactory. An UPDATE to my review: fairly recently, the staff here has tried to improve this place a lot; they have succeeded admirably. Beautiful and well located community. Assisted side offers many activities and memory care unit is very engaging for residents. Nurse Laura is very responsive.
