My mother in law was a resident after a knee replacement. She is a difficult person and the staff and therapy were wonderful! She actually enjoyed herself during rehab!
Carmel Health and living is the best Nursing home I have seen. Although I must admit I am not an expert when it comes to these facilities. However things I didn't expect when I had to chose a place for my wife was the quality entertainment and activities for the residents. The nursing care has been top notch as well the therapy. I only wish insurance wasn't the weak link I her care. But that is the fault of the government.
I do not like the care that my mother has received, as a long term patients, my last visit was one of the worst, my mother had not been cleaned all day 9-10-15 at 4pm when I got there her trash can was over filled, and her bed sheets were so dirty from where the urine had dried and even with requests that someone come clean her still no one came to her aid until 7pm. the facility is very under staff they never have enough workers for the amount of patience they have, it's ridiculous
My Mother was only there 3 short months in Bldg 4, Room 311. She had such awesome care and when the end came near they were even more caring. Mom made several friends there and most of them were the staff. The only complaint she had was the food was not that warm, but she ate in her room. They did offer to warm it for her.
My mother-in-law was at Carmel health and Living. We moved her to another facility. Don't send anyone you love to this facility. Terribly unprofessional staff, very uncaring and not putting the interest of the patient first. The night staff did not attend to her needs. Our parents deserve much better than this. Aweful place!
