I’m giving CarMax one star due to the loan payoff and settlement timeline, which was not clearly emphasized upfront. To be fair, I was given a check immediately at the time of sale. The issue is the loan payoff process, which can take up to 15 business days on CarMax’s side before funds are even sent. That does not include additional mail time or processing time by your bank or credit union. There is also no ACH or wire option to speed this up. Juston was great to work with and made getting my new car as efficient as possible. The place is clean and comfortable and everyone was very helpful.
Had a pleasant buying experience with the staff, but noticed after the fact that we overpaid about 5k for the vehicle when taking the mileage into account. Would not go back or recommend.
Sold my car to carmax and Gabyana was extremely helpful, professional, and attentive. She answered all the questions I had. I left with feeling I made the right choice. Highly recommend
