I've purchased maybe 10 cars in my lifetime. 7-8 from Name brand dealerships. 2 from smaller dealers. First time trying Carmax because they had the color available. For spending $30,000 and going through Carmax quality standards would never shop at carmax again. Vehicle had front tires worn below 4/32, edges were bald. Rear brake pads were at min spec and half of pad was not touching rotor. Also, I specifically looked for a clean carfax/no accident. But whole passenger side was repainted partial panels. I went in twice. Once to get the offer and then to sell the car. Both times the staff was courteous and professional. There was a mixup on my offer but the staff honored the higher offer. Overall, it was easier than selling a $25 chair on Facebook marketplace. I would recommend it to anyone.
