I really wanted to like my experience with CarMax thinking that it was a better way to handle car related transactions. I did both a trade in of a leased vehicle and a purchase in one transaction mostly on the promise of saving lots of money on sales tax by doing the transactions all at once. I had a lease that was 17,000 miles under the prepaid miles. Toyota was only offering $1,000 loyalty credit, so I went with a Subaru. I tried to sell my lease to Carvana. It took them two weeks of back and forth with the documents they needed. Finally, they said I had less than one month remaining on the lease, and they couldn't proceed.
