I went to Carmax to get an offer on my 2004 Lexus RX330. It was painless and took approx 20 mins. The people were nice and I just walked around and looked at cars while they appraised my car. They offered me the straight down the middle of average in KBB trade in value. My car has a perfect Carfax, Florida car, no accidents, no rust, and well maintained so I will probably sell it private party since it is in such good condition and I trust the car. Worse customer service I’ve ever experienced!! Bought my car in July 2018 and have brought it back 4 different times to have the back up camera repaired. They claim to have replaced it with a new one but I continue to have the same issues with it not working. Then they keep getting mad at me because I’m constantly bringing it back for them to get it right! Nasty attitudes every time I come in, and the shuttle ride and the guy driving, is even worse with the complaints about the travel to my job. Something told me not to buy ... read more

From the free/cheap transfers so you can select from even MORE than the TONS of cars on their lot, to the low pressure sales model, to the very fair purchase prices offered on our two vehicles, to the super friendly, helpful and accommodating service staff, I can't say a single negative word about the Carmax location on Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville. I have bought three SUV's from this CarMax in the last year and half. No problems with the sales people, the business office, or the maintenance department, which by the way has been very minimal. I highly recommend the purchase of a quality used vehicle offered at a reasonable price from this CarMax.
I recently purchase a car from CarMax on Sahara on 2/24. Monday 2/26, the check engine light came on. I took the car in to get serviced 2/27, I was told it would be be fixed by the weekend. I was called Friday 3/2 and was told the car parts took longer than expected to come in, so it wouldn't be ready until that Monday. 3/5 I was called and was told that another issue appeared to be wrong with the car, and because I was under the 5 day return policy, seeing that the policy was put on "hold" while the car was being serviced, ... read more
