I called their customer service to find out when they are open to pick up wholesale purchases. Then purchased transportation tickets around their times...customer service told me 9pm. I arrived at 5:15pm and they said they were closed. The lot manager was there, but unwilling to be flexible even when their company had made an error in information. 080720. BUYER BEWARE don't buy from here and get MaxCare They are a Lemon!! No empathy or flexability from Pat (Service Manager) on their warranty through the tornado and Coronavirus shut down. With the Covid virus Carmax was closed 4 weeks and down to limited staff, but now that they finally fit me in for for an appointment (now over the milage) the issues I've been complaining with aren't covered. These folks, in my opinion, are bottom line, customer last.. $4,400 out of pocket!!
This place was amazing!! After spending 5 HOURS dealing with other dealerships and one nightmare after another my husband and I decided on our way home after the third fiasco to give it one last try before we ended our search for the day. A few weeks ago my son and I bought a 2016 Hyundai Sonata at CarMax of Southlake on Mt. Zion Road in Stockbridge GA. Our sales agent was an older gentleman named Jim Lowe. What a nice guy. Low key. Not pushy. So very patient. He was very knowledgeable about the various cars my son wanted to look at and understood what features he needed on the car. I'll never go there again. We showed up to view a vehicle for my daughter. We were pointed to the car and told to look it over and someone will assist you shortly. After 10 in the heat I walked back in and explained I was in a hurry and said I'll have to go soon. They said OK, thanks for coming. Called to tell my daughter and she called them and was told they get to me shortly. After 22 minutes I passed through the waiting room, was told thanks for coming. Not happy with my experience. This dealership has a lot of good reviews, and the place is nice and clean. To be fair I may have just gotten a poor salesmen. Alas one bad experience reflects on the entire company. I arranged for financing in advance, sent in everything they requested. Confirmed multiple times that everything was ready. I had the cash down payment in hand. I was very clear I did not have time to waste, so it was to be test drive the car, fill out the paperwork and be done.
