I’ve traded in my last 3 cars with Carmax, and purchased my last 3 cars with them, so over all I’m satisfied. There a few things that can be done better, when I did my 2nd trade in, they gave me a lower offer than initially stated, because I misquoted one feature; so I ended up trading my car in to Carvana instead. The vehicle mileage on the car I purchased from them, was also higher than quoted; I mean by 4k miles over and they didn’t want to compensate me for that, even though I got it shipped to them. We had previously taken our 9-year-old Lexus (which has only 26,000 miles, garage-kept, but did have some significant scrapes on the front left and right panels) to two different traditional dealerships for trade-in evaluations, and both shot us lowball offers. Do NOT EVER purchase the MaxCare!! When I first went through CarMax 2 years ago I thought they were great n helpful until my Max Care ran out n I found out I have to continue paying the extra $67 for the entirety of the loan for a maintenance plan I can no longer use!!! It's a huge scam!!! I am a single mother on a tight income!! I tried to reach out for help but they were so rude n basically don't care!! I was mislead into believing that after the time was up on the Maxcare I wouldn't have to continue paying for it. I can't... read more
