Great food and even better wine! Came here the other day for Penny Wine Night, and was not disappointed. 2 glass of wine per gust for just a penny.
Perfect Event Venue in Chicago! – Came here for the first time this month for an alumni event and will definitely be back! We rented out a beautiful party room and had a huge selection of seasonal, authentic food. Service, food, and venue were all fantastic.
My family & I go here often. The food is exceptional, especially for the price. The drinks are a little overpriced, but that happens almost everywhere nowadays. We usually end up paying about as much here as we would if we were going to a lousy chain place like Fridays or Applebees, but the food is a much higher quality. Highly recommended
Had a great lunch at a reasonable price plus enjoyed their .01 cent glass of wine promotion. Good service, knowledgeable staff and nice surroundings.
The atmosphere is gorgeous, but the food is lacking. I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It was good, but the smallest portion I have ever had for that dish in any restaurant. It looks like an appetizer or child's portion. My husband had the pasta with Vodka Marinara. I like the bottled Trader Joe's Vodka Sauce much better. Great service.
Don't Miss Penny Wine on Fridays! – We had a very enjoyable and reasonably priced lunch at Carlucci. We happened to show up there on a Friday which is penny wine day. With each meal we were able to purchase up to three glasses of wine for only a penny. The food was tasty, the people-watching was excellent and the penny wine was such a bonus that we ordered dessert. I'm looking forward to returning when the weather is warm and the patio is open!
Expected More – We went for an early dinner around 5:00 pm. The bread and oil that was served was below average, very little taste. I had the chicken parma and she had lobster ravioli. The chicken was very tough and the pasta was a little under cooked. The wife said the lobster ravioli was actually very good. The pasta sauce for the chicken was very good. We didn't have any wine, drinks or desserts, so I can't comment on that. We will try other Italian restauants before we return here....
Great Italian Dining I really enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant. The ambiance is nicely decorated and it is very spacious. There is enough room for large parties. They have large food portions and it is nicely presented. I recommend ordering the linguine that is tossed inside a parmesan cheese wheel. It is a unique dish and it is at a reasonable price on their lunch menu ($5).
