I wish it was like it was back in 2020 when I moved in. It was peaceful and we had decent neighbors. But within the last 2 or 3 months our complex has become a nest of less than desirable neighbors. Trashy vehicles clutter the parking lot and it now looks like a salvage yard. Carlson of Spencer are cruel and insensitive people. I had a stroke and have a difficult time waiting. One month I charged banks and was told by Social Security that my funds would be in the bank to cover a check I wrote for rent. My funds didn’t come and the check was bad. Now Carlsons demand me to “walk” to the bank and purchase a money order every month because Social Security didn’t get my funds in the bank on time to cover my check. This to me is insensitive and unprofessional and actually cruel.

Not even deserving of a 1 star review. We at Pinewood in Ashland, WI, have rats, had 3 lifetime, repeaters, child predators here at the same time. One who also has a warrant has been here, among many children(his friends have so many little ones he is allowed to be around) They have been here before and since Carlson's took over 2 years ago. There is non-stop drug dealing...all reported to ploice. Now we have adolescents doing drugs and suspected of delivering in the school. They take forever to get a maintenance problem fixed. Supposedly the landlord is going to evict me due to an incident but i already have a plan. So Its carlson's loss.

I rented from carlson property from 2015 to 2020. It seemed like an okay place at first but I found out that didn't last long. They do not keep up the properties at all. They never clean and it is filthy in the common areas. I was told it was non smoking and everyone smokes in the building and it reaks and then they claim it was okay for people to smoke after the fact. They have no one checking safety features i installed a smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm and it went off one day. They had carbon monoxide in the buil... read more

Well if your family member unexpectedly dies, they won’t make a check out to someone who can actually cash it, they’ll just give faulty advice and leave you screwed. Also left the apartment spotless and it was only lived in for 3 months and they still charged $70 for cleaning. SCAM

I actually like Carlson as a management company the reason I gave them only 3 stars is because of the people whom they hire to care for their thorp wi property otherwise Christi and Amy are awesome

They don’t clean nor fix things around the apartment. It’s disgusting, the driveway is full of pot holes. Mildew on the buildings. The rebar is exposed for anyone to fall on and get severely injured like older people and children and people who have epilepsy and they haven’t done a single thing to fix it. Their happy to take your money but they don’t do anything to fix the problems that are going on here and it’s truly pathetic
