Tremendous. Son was admitted to ER and had very strange complications from pneumonia (blurred vision, tremors, lack of lucidity, nausea) that were not being taken seriously and not improving after 2 days in hospital. Previous attending dr. at hospital refused to call a neuro or vision consult with symptoms worsening, but at our request he stepped in and got a neuro and ocular specialist, found encephalitis, and a proactive approach to address it. His explanations were thoughtful and practical.

My daughter had the best care ever by Dr. Cartaya! She ended up in the emergency room after her first week of college in her freshman year with Rhabdomyolysis. After 1 spin class she ended up in the hospital for a week. This kind and compassionate doctor gave me his cell number. Being a mom far away in PA, feeling helpless, having the ability to call him for updates was huge. He did a great job caring for my daughter. My daughter constantly reassured me that he took extra good care of her.

Worst Pediatrician! Lack of knowledge, rude, informal, My baby boy spent 5 days under his care and every day was getting worse and he just said wait and wait.

One a the best Dr in Tampa. He treated my daughter Jessie during her stay in Saint Joseph Hospital, he put the right treatment and take the time to listen and understand what's going on with her. I highly recommend Dr Cartaya.
