Highly recommend being cautious here. My husband bought me a pendant sold as “solid gold” that we got tested elsewhere—it’s gold filled. Owner would not rectify after receiving this information, and actually ghosted us when we followed up.

Great selection of jewelry and antiques. They also had a good selection of smaller sized engagement and fancy rings - great for smaller fingers.

Carlisle & Linny is my go-to shop whenever I’m looking for gifts for the special people in my life. The inventory is fabulous, represents many decades, and changes frequently, so I never leave empty-handed no matter who I’m shopping for. The owner, Lindsley, and the shop manager, Tam, are both friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient about showing me things in the cases, too. This little shop is truly a treasure and worth my trip to downtown Hillsborough all by itself!

Almost bought something there however the owner was so rude I walked out. I understand that the jewelry is vintage and it needs to be handled with care but she may not want to tell someone to stop touching something they were getting ready to purchase.
