In a sea/island of over/ hyper priced hotels all owned by private equity, the Carlisle house is privately owned and has some sanity to pricing. Yes ,Nantucket is expensive, but there is a resason. I return here each year for the vibe and easy access the Carlise house Inn offers. So, if you are looking for quality accomodations and don't need the 5 star hotels, give them a try. Great patio and garden to relax in.

What a lovely stay my daughter and son-in-law and my sweet 1 yo grandson had at the Carlisle House! They had a suite and I was upstairs in a single. The owner and staff were exceptionally kind and always around checking on guests needs. It’s a beautiful inn with lots of charm and special touches. I enjoyed the plush towels, delicious fresh fruit and gorgeous garden area as did my grandbaby who loved touching the beautiful hydrangeas! Short walk to town, but out of the busy area. Would love to come again!

The Carlisle House Inn is located just outside town and walking distance to Jetties Beach. The innkeeper and staff are lovely and were very helpful in anything we needed. The continental breakfast was great and the gardens were beautiful. I highly recommend this inn!

Wonderful location. Beautiful and thoughtfully appointed rooms and common areas. Highly recommend! Owner is lovely and helpful. Staff is helpful and attentive. Would love to stay again!

Pictures show a large inn, but in reality it is a small house. To get to the rooms on the second a third you have to climb up a series of stairs which resemble a ladder rather than stairs. Very difficult to climb up and down specially with suitcases. Way over priced for what it is. Disappointed.
