My wife used to work here, but that is not the reason for the review. She had worked at other hospices and when it was her turn she chose these people. I mean no disrespect for other hospice organizations. This was just her choice. She died with these people caring for her and she loved them, as do I. They were able to get her all sorts of help to keep her comfortable, and able to enjoy the time we had left together. This time is not easy, and you need people like this to help each step of the way.
Advocate Bromenn Medical Center belongs in the Automotive Care Section and NOT in the Health Care Section. Upon my arrival to Advocate, I found my 79 year old mother being restrained by a straight jacket at which time I was confronted by a male nurse who shoved me into her bed and forced me out of her room. My dad was recently a patient at this hospital and received the worst care he has ever expierenced! His heart is not in very good shape, hes 75 years old. He was in his room after being hospitized from a staff infection from hip replacement. Everytime he called for a nurse, she/he acted pissed off to have to attend to him. He was having an anxiety attack, called the nurse as he was laying in bed gasping for air, 10 minutes later the nurse comes in and asks him why he cant catch his breath..seriously?! Very friendly atmosphere and quick results at the lowest prices in the area!
My son who is 2 was runnin a 102.5 temp and that was after I gave him fever reducer. My husband took him to carle in tuscola and they said they could take him. They took them back to a room and then told my husband the doctor was to busy and they had to go somewhere else. What a horrible thing to do to a child!
