I have never experienced a more rude dr nor has my niece who was with me for this appointment. He was condensending and gave us no opportunity to explain anything and talked over us if we tried to do same. I will never return to him and I intend to file a complaint with the medical director of Carle in Urbana. This should never be allowed to treat a patient like this and I asked him if he "could be a little nicer to me" and my niece told him the same and he got up and walked out. I was left feeling blindsided after seeing how much my bill was for just one outpatient visit. $890 for the outpatient visit, and $340 facility fee. I waited almost 3 month for this visit. The first CPT code was billed at 55 minutes, and the second was billed at 15 minutes. My appointment was no more than 45 minutes. I have reached out to see if this is an error, but I am very devastated. I have started reaching out to other doctors offices that will just accept my co-pay instead of having to go through these insane charges.... read more

My brother was unfortunately a pt at Carle. Rooms were dirty. Did not see any cleaning staff come to his room. He had to b moved to another room due to bed bugs. Staff in ICU were ok but staff on medical floor were a joke. He had been unresponsive for a week and the "supposed " nurse couldn't understand why he couldn't take meds mixed in applesauce nor why he couldn't follow commands! What a joke. THE WORST billing system I have ever seen. I have never been turned over to collections in my 58 years. But their HORRIBLE communication methods have had me turned over to a collection agency twice in a year and almost a third time, but I luckily checked on my accout right before it was. I will avoid Carle Physicians because of their billing system.

Would insist on going elsewhere! I came in with a migraine. I was rushed in and got an iv started and was told this should help. I was left for 1 1/2 hours until I called to see why iv was not even started!!! Anesthesiologist came in to see if I had any questions and at this point all I could say was will the medication help my migraine . His reply...I don't know and out the door he went. I was then taken to surgery..seemed like something off of television horrible music, room filled with people laughing and carrying on...I... read more

I was a ER patient 6 years ago..came in with abdominal pain...the ER Dr was very rude..she wanted me to have CAT scan...I had no insurance at the time so I didn't agree with her...I told her I was in severe pain and from my opinion she thought I was a drug seeker..I'm in the medical field and I was treated like crap...I left after 45 minutes after she gave me a speech on why she wouldn't give me any pain meds...I ended up in another ER with a partial ileus and an ovarian cyst..and UTI...I will never go back there again
