The place is very small (quaint). Maybe 10 barstools on either side of the building. Food is great. Service is great and restaurant appears to be very clean. It's just nostalgic. Wonderful atmosphere. Rootbeer is served in chilled, glass mugs. Been there twice now. Only downsides, if they are busy, I feel rushed too eat instead of being able to enjoy. Other downside is, I don't believe they have a public restroom.
Honestly I haven't heard of Carl's but I saw it on tv. I told my wife let's go there, we're from StPeters. It's worth the trip. It's a bit close
