My Dad moved in to Carillon in May of this year. I love how the staff members all know my Dad and call him by name. He has thrived since living here. He is eating and drinking more fluids and has even gained some much needed weight. He has made many friends with the staff and other residents. The experience for my family has been nothing but absolutely wonderful. The entire staff from Shawn to Tarelle to Q to Kathryn to Tiffany to Priscilla to Daniel to everyone else, they are an incredible, caring, hard-working team. They have been nothing but patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind through this tough transition. Truthfully, they have gone above and beyond to help us get my grandparents settled and adjusted. My Mom has been a resident of Carillon North Raleigh for almost two years. It is a heart wrenching decision when needing to place a parent with dementia. The staff at Carillon North Raleigh are compassionate and hard working! While no place will ever be perfect, I know my Mom is safe and at peace. She tells me so every day! Across the miles it gives me comfort to know my Mom is cared for with compassion and flexibility. I’ve learned that a person with Dementia requires others to walk in their shoes and enter their reality with understanding. There are good days and challenging days. I’m grateful that the staff, are patient and do their best.
