Avoid if you can. This place is going to kill people. A few care .....but the rest DON'T. It is a joke of what it used to be.

I had a minor surgical procedure call a D&C. The average charge for this procedure is between $2500 and $7000. My bill was $18,600. I have previously paid my $5000 deductible yet I am responsible for 30% of this bill. I have to come up will $6000. My insurance company was billed $12,600 and they negotiated the bill down to $5000. The hospital will not lower their bill for the patient. So, I am being overcharged and their relationship with my insurance company is very unethical. Check before you have a surgery. I am deeply hurt by the treatment or lack thereof that I received from Carilion’s internal medicine clinic in Hardy, VA. I was accosted by a staff member who claimed to be the practice manager and then she refused to give her name as is my right to have. I was a patient with the practice for almost 10 years. People of Color seem to receive less than compassionate care with the providers and the nursing staff are just as discriminant. I have filed a formal complaint and I will be switching providers.
