Dr. Burke treated my sister with autism so kindly and respectfully - very knowledgable and professional.
Attempted scheduling an appointment with this provider weekly for a couple of months without receiving a callback.
The providers are uninformed about the problems they attempt to treat and unresponsive to questions and complications. The support staff is rude and dismissive. Scheduling is difficult. I am very disappointed.
I've been waiting for over a year for scheduling a procedure. In July my referral was put in again as they expire at the one year point. I received a letter dated 9/20/2024 to call and discuss available dates. I called in mid October and they said they did not have my referral and took my number to call me back. After not hearing anything I called again on 11/01/2024 and was told that my referral expired in September of 2023. After reading these reviews, its sadly obvious Carilion is aware there are major issues with Gastro care (from My Chart to Doctors & everything in between). I am definitely not a fan of My Chart for important communication (like test results, continuing ISSUES, etc) between patient & doctors. And a 3 day response is not acceptable and if a doctor is out of office for whatever reason, you don't know, so you sit & anxiously wait for that call.
