Truly amazing doctor who saved my son from over a year of misdiagnosis and the incompetence of his former “doctor”. He is kind, thoughtful, patient and a genuinely brilliant diagnostician. I shudder at the thought of where we would be had we not found him. Yes he is incredibly expensive and doesn’t take insurance but he is worth every last penny. We had seen a bunch of neurologists and it was a tumultuous time. Dr. Cargan read the preliminary paperwork I sent and began our appointment playing chess with my son. They established a rapport and it was the most effective appointment we have had with any provider. It is hard to get a doctor in an exam room to see what you see in real life but starting with chess to put my son at ease was the closest we had ever gotten to an accurate diagnosis. Wonderful doctor. Can not possibly find a better neurologist for children. Highly recommended by other doctors as the best in northwest NJ. My son has been seeing Dr. Cargan for years and I could not be more pleased!!!
