Fantastic variety of clean and well maintained boats with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Carefree makes it so easy to enjoy the boating experience!
I thought things would change regarding the maintenance and general safety conditions of the boats since our daughter received stitches because of sharp edges on a boat but today we experienced another example of how CareFree doesn't take care of their boats. Took out a boat today with a bimini that we reported issues with weeks ago and today the entire thing feel off while moving at a slow speed, approx 6-8mph with no winds. Boats are not maintained. Always an excuse why they are not fixed in a timely manner. Daughter got 3 stitches 2 weeks ago because one of the boats has sharp edges on the back of the boat. Dock hands informed us the owner has known for approx. 4 months but nothing was done. When we informed the owner of the incident he responded, "I took care of your fuel bill for the day." BTW the fuel cost for the day was approx. $18. Never once did he apologize never once did he sound concerned in fact when I recommended to pull the boat ... read more
Anyone even considering joining Carefree Boat Club... Let me warn you to RUN away as fast as you can!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! The customer service, management specifically the owner David and the quality of their boats is NOT what they advertise. Getting a boat on the weekend and some week days is impossible because their boat to member ratio is NOT what they advertise either. They are unapologetic for all the issues they have had this year.
