Happy to give a very positive review! Carefree book club in Boothbay not only has exceptional and knowledgeable staff, the boats are in great shape and it is literally ‘Carefree’ and easy. As a first year member, we have been enjoying this boating season with friends and family, getting to explore the area in ways we haven’t before. We're first-year members of Carefree Boat Club of Maine (Boothbay Harbor). From our introduction to Ed Bernard to our adventures on the water, our experience has been outstanding. Ed navigated us through joining and setting up our membership in a way which best suited us. The on-line BoatUS course filled in some of the gaps in our foundational knowledge, and Captain Rebecca provided terrific tailored in-person classroom and on-water instruction. Thankful to have Carefree Boat in Boothbay Harbor! We love all our boating experiences whether in Boothbay Harbor or at their many locations throughout the US
my family and I have been visiting Boothbay Harbor for 13 years now and would always hire a fishing charter, go on a whale watch trip, or ride the Cabbage Island boat in order to enjoy the waters of Boothbay Harbor. Last year we met Ed of Carefree Boat Club during an open house at the docks and learned the concept of "Boating without owning". Honestly, it changed our whole experience! This has been our first year of membership and I'm sorry we didn't do it sooner. It has been a great experience. Large selection of boats, great dock hands, all around excellent and Care Free!
