I was given an email and a fax # to send an appeal to, only to call back a week later to be told "Oh we prefer faxes and that was the wrong fax number." So I paid to send another fax. What century are you in where faxes are easier for you than email? Just more frustrate the customer song and dance. This company embodies everything that is terrible about healthcare in this country. They try to claim all sorts of coverage, but their plans cover nothing useful. It's so absurd that they refuse to cover an office visit if the office is in the wrong type of building. Their customer service ended the call without ever answering my questions. I did set up an autopay and everything was okay for a while. Then Carefirst stopped charging my credit card and after that Carefirst canceled my insurance coverage for not paying premium.
The worst health insurance company I have ever have had coverage with! Stay away! There name should be changed to CareLess!
Quite possibly the worst insurance agency I've ever dealt with. Minimum wait time on the phone is two hours. Their website never loads and is apparently never updated. I continued seeing my dentist from 2020 to 2021, as it is listed on their website as In Network. I then received a bill for $400 because my provider allegedly went out of network at the end of the year, and no one updated me.
