Definitely a terrible experience dealing with them over the past year. I needed a bill (that was suppose to be covered) corrected and they couldn't seem to help me out. I have been calling regularly since April, it is now October and I have not ever received a call back by one of their great employees who "would personally look into it for me". Given that it's enrollment time, I feel a sense of responsibility to warn you NOT to use CareFirst for your health insurance needs. Terrible customer service and they haven't covered what they are supposed to cover on my plan. I have spent the last few months making several calls, faxes, and mailed change applications (as they instructed me to do) simply to get my DOB corrected in their system. Never give your credit card number to Carefirst if you can pay by Check. I have been overcharged multiple times since the first of 2016. Paying them by check eliminates the opportunity for them to overcharge.
