I do not recommend anyone going to Dr Vernon for family therapy.I am her client then brought my husband into two sessions to hopefully resolve his controlling mother issue manipulating her son and inserting herself in our family life.I trusted her with a session with my two teenage children and she ended up called me a name and that’s when my husband stepped in and said,” no more Dr Vernon for us.”She made things worse, at the time, but by enduring her attitude, my husband and I were able to resolve the issue with his mother... read more
I do not recommend Dr. Vernon. She was horrible for my little sisters and I. We went to her for family therapy. My youngest sister was threatening to kill herself and Dr. Vernon told her she was being dramatic. My sister ended up having to go to children’s hospital. She was so rude and disrespectful to my family. She made our situation so much worse.

She shouldn’t practice. Her manner was horrible, horrible, horrible; as the previous reviewer stated. Isn’t it curious that the word “horrible” keeps popping up in multiple reviews? That speaks volumes.
Dr Vernon was incredibly helpful in resolving a coparenting conflict. She met with each parent and listened carefully before reaching a resolution. She provided courteous insight into the nuance of each position and thorough reasoning for her recommendations.
