I went to Care Net 20 years ago as a young mother of a toddler with another baby on the way. My abusive, "absentee" husband did little to provide for us. Care Net set up classes for me, to teach me how to become the best mother I could be. The classes were 1 on 1, interesting & very informative. It boosted my confidence & helped me feel more prepared for the arrival of baby #2. They offered me counseling services (or at least the chance to talk through some of my issues and someone to offer advice) and paid me "Mommy Bucks" ... read more
