January 7th, 2025, I was told my job would be eliminated. I was encouraged to use vacation time so I wouldn’t lose it. I was encouraged to look for a new job…but they would appreciate I stay until they found a replacement. End of January, my daughter and I test positive for influenza…had a doctors note, got wrote up. Put a request in for vacation, it was denied. We have excellent support and care from Shirley and Keira. Very professional.
Care initiatives hospice travel nurse as well as administration has come in to our facility pushing for medications that are not needed, and appear to be in an effort to end the life of difficult patients. They have yelled at our staff in our facility multiple times and been overall rude to staff and not giving care to the patients in the meantime. When they took care of my mom they treated her with the utmost care and respect. I could not recommend this organization more for their knowledge and love support!
My brother John was in their care for a short period of time and I can’t say enough about his care. He had dementia so it was hard to communicate with him but his nurse Lisa Knight and CNA Missy Smallwood handled him with loving care. They were always ready to answer any questions that we, his family, had. We would recommend Care Initiatives-Albia for their family member.
