On June 19th at about 12:30 at night my four-year-old German Shepherd, Winston woke me up and was in terrible pain. He had vomited, was pacing, panting, could not stand or lay down. I immediately drove him to the Cape Cod Animal Referral and Emergency Center (C.A.R.E.) on Theophilus Smith Road in South Dennis, Massachusetts.
