Wow!! Reading some of these comments are bizarre to me. Our experience with Dr. Chan for my husband visit was completely different. I'm a strong woman who demands excellence from every new doctor. If Dr.Chan would have been anything but caring, professional, and thorough, he would have been called out right then. He took excellent care of John by ordering the correct testing for his age and why he was referred to the office. Every test turned out good and will do our follow up in January. The office staff and the NP were the only positives here. Dr. Chan and Dr. Castro are highly unprofessional and void of compassion, integrity, and ethics. Dr. Chan suddenly went from stating I had a fatal condition and recommending advanced imaging and electrophysiology, to “its anxiety” or musculoskeletal. I then to another cardiologist who unfortunately retired, and this is the only place contracted within PCCV, so I decided to give it another try. Dr. Chan is by far one of the most down to earth Cardiologists I’ve come to know. His bedside manner put me at ease without a trace of arrogance often seen in this specialty. Additionally, as a fellow practitioner in this field for 40+ years as a provider and semi-retired Cardiac/Vascular Technologist, he openly and appreciatively welcomed my input without reservation.. Very difficult to get through yo the office to schedule an appointment. 3 attempts in 24 hours. Still no call back. Disgraceful!

I only gave two stars because Dr. Chan was kind and thorough. Unfortunately, his scheduling staff is not. My mother has severe heart failure to the point that Dr. Chan put my mom on hospice immediately after her first visit. Nobody expected my mom to live past six months but here we are 3 1/2 years later and although her health has declined significantly, she is still here. A week ago, I was notified by CVS that her heart meds were not renewed by her cardiologist, mind you this Office has never called me to make an appointme... read more
