I lived at *** ****** ** ******in Pittsburgh for two months, and while the apartment itself was nice as well as the location, management made living here a nightmare especially upon moving out. I do not have enough bad things to say about their shady business practices. I moved in May for work after graduating from another university and decided to take over the end of a Pitt student's lease while I searched for where I wanted to actually live. I unfortunately decided that paying a premium for a new building and furnished un... read more
I've lived at an apartment complex owned by them for 7+ months no issues. Then recently, they decided to transfer many people's apartments and roommates all within 24 hours. Despite saying they were going to sanitize and clean the rooms people were moving into, the room I received had the closet door off the wall and trash all over the floor. The surfaces were also obviously not wiped down as well. I tried going to the office, but no one with any authority was at work during the day they decided to move people. They gave me ... read more
My college age daughter lived in Copper Beach Apartments in Allendale, MI. from August 2017 thru August 2018. The apartment upon moving in, was dirty and the carpet was disgusting. I had to clean the apartment before moving her in. On top of that the heating bills were outrageously expensive d/t forced heat so the apartment was always cold because the students couldn't afford the $300-$400 heating bills. Upon moving out they were not aware that they had to cancel the consumers energy bill and are now being forced by Copper B... read more
The Towers Apartment Complex @ Michigan State University run by Cardinal Group (leasing company out of Denver, CO) took over the management of the building recently. August is move in month for most Michigan College campuses. Apartments were not ready - Filthy, old food left in refrigerator, dirt/rust coming from tub faucet and without hot water, kitchen and bathroom faucets were clogged therefore water flow was limited. Living room carpet not replaced/full of stains. Stove not fully working per the check list and to top it ... read more
This company own a lot of college properties. Anyways, I was rudely disrupted about my sublease fee as of today, the leasing agents are very rude and inconsiderate on a daily basis. I had to deal with the rude atmosphere when I was living there. I had moved and I wasn't living San ****** had to relet. I had to open a new bank account and since my parents account wasn't linked yet, I couldn't pay just yet. I was going to pay, but the added pressure from both future tenant and agents was too much. I hope you can fire these two... read more
After having a horrible living experience at one of their properties I reached out to Cardinal and received no response. I do not recommend anyone to leave at any of their properties. Here was my review for one of their properties, Westmar Student Lofts: If you're thinking about moving here DON'T. You should take the reviews seriously, I wish I did! Most of the good reviews you see were made by their own office staff. It is more affordable than the other student housing options in the area, but trust me it's worth paying mor... read more
