I called Cardinal & Glidden today and asked if they could deliver on Friday , as I didn’t have the money today, and wouldn’t have it till Friday. I am really low and didn’t want to run out. I’ve been a customer for about 2 years and have always paid by credit card up front. Today was a bit of a different circumstance and I was hoping for a friendly person on the other end who could possibly put themselves in my shoes and understand my predicament. Mailed a check same day of delivery, a week later received a nasty letter demanding payment. I called the rude dude talked over me and yelled, at me before transferring me to Karen so I asked if Karen ( appropriately her real name) didn’t get the check, she lied and first said no, and then said yes. I mailed the check on the 15th she claimed she never got it until the 21st yet the nasty letter was postmarked the 22nd. At least pretend to care about losing a customer. I know I’m only 2-3 oil fills a year and a once in a while a service call, but we don’t grow on trees. To send me a crazy letter that my oil tank and "recent changes to insurance policies and guidelines" - lol, yours? telling me my oil tank vent pipe (that's been there for 30 years, and you and others have seen and delivered to many times, is suddenly not up to current code, and I have 12 months to remedy with a quote you’ll send to repair or replace the tank, or you’ll stop ... read more
