This would be kind of funny if it had not been costly/a little embarrassing. We referred one of our clients to this provider through Talkiatry, a telehealth platform because our client did not want to deal with local providers. This provider listened to our client for an hour, charged a large fee, then told our client to go find a nice local provider. Oh and later we were stunned to find Talkiatry has an F Better Business Bureau rating with over a hundred complaints and equally dismal reviews on Trustpilot.
Spent an hour on the phone in consultation with this woman, and I get referrals for family counselors instead of professional psychiatrists. That wasn’t really a productive use of one hour’s time.
