Excellent food — you can tell that every dish is made with the freshest ingredients. Everything is made from scratch, in-house. The Torino pizza dough had a wonderful sweetness and texture, the Bruschetta and salad were delicious. The hot peppers on the table are a highlight and wonderful accompaniment to the food. Staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming!
Had higher expectations based on the ratings. We stopped in on our way home from Chicago based on the solid reviews, but both the food and service fell flat. The pizza crust came out dry and overcooked, and service was slow and inattentive throughout. Since the dining area wasn't busy, the lack of quality and care was disappointing. Hopefully, they can get their consistency back on track based the the posted reviews.
This being only the 2nd time I've ever been in Chicago, I wanted to take my boys to a really great spot! I took them to Carbone Pizzeria. We drove for 8 hours today, and did not eat anything wanting to have a great Italian dinner. We were not disappointed! I could go on and on about the dishes. The service was Amazing. I couldn't of asked for a better 1st night dinner! My boys will remember this one, their first dinner in Chicago!
