I took my sister in carbon health urgent care today. We called and made an appointment because she fell on her foot and she was in pain We asked if they have xray equipment and the receptionist said yes. She walked in and definitely they didn't have xray equipment and we paid to see the nurse practitioner. She said you need to go to script to get it done. Paid 45 dollors, waited 1hr and half. The wait was long, but you can’t go to an UC thinking you’re above or worse off than anyone else. It’s a much less wait time than if you went to an ER anyway. They were short-staffer so it was fine. I appreciated the friendliness of the front desk attendant and the caring manner I received from the doctor. They even asked me to come back in a few days for a follow up to see how I’m responding to treatment. I’ve never had that happen at any UC I’ve been to in the past. I’ve taken both my daughters here and the patient care is fantastic! The PA is wonderful! The only urgent care I go to.
Yesterday I brought my daughter in for a 1:15 PM appt with Lissande Laverty, PA-C and we weren’t roomed until 2:00 PM. This was only after I asked if there was a reason why we were still in the waiting rm, then we waited in the room another 5 minutes after the MA saw us, so I finally asked if we’d be seen soon bc I needed to pick my other daughters up from school.
