My husband has been "seeing" Dr. Hsieh for several years for his Type 2 Diabetes. In that period of time he has only actually seen Dr. Hsieh once, And that was only for a minute. He has been seen by her P.A. on visits. My concern here is not related to his past medical care, but the fact that Dr. Hsieh closed her practice with absolutely no notification given prior to her patients. My husband has bee a patient at Dr. Hsieh's practice for 2.5 years. In all that time he never saw Dr Hsieh, only saw the physician assistant. Now the practice is closing because Dr Hsieh has left. No advance notice was given to the patients and no assistance to transition to another doctor. When my husband requested a referral to another physician and his records his request was initially met with indifference and after several phones call and requests we obtained the documents for a $15.00 fee. Dr. Hsieh’s employees made a mistake and they fixed it by squeezing me into their tight schedule. As for the doctor herself, I found myself impressed by both her knowledge in her field of expertise, and her ability to communicate that knowledge effectively. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hsieh to anybody in need of an endocrinologist.
