Abrasive Staff & Call Center Confusion Called in this morning to check in about an oil change and was connected with the call center that let me know they had a 10:30 am drop off time available, which I booked. When I arrived to CarX, I was greeted in a negative, abbrasive manner by the front desk attendant, who told me that he could do nothing for me today, I did not speak to anyone at this location, the call center doesn't book for them (???), and I would have to come back later/another day. Honest and knowledgeable. My daughter's car, who is away at college,had an issue which turned out to be a transmission issue. The manager called me and let me know. Didn't charge me anything. Hard to find a trustworthy shop now adays. It's comforting to know that a trustworthy business is in West Lafayette, having 2 kids at Purdue.
Just not really happy about thy have dune
Took my car here for overheating while idling and a thumping noise in the front left. Paid them to fix it, and they literally fixed nothing. Both problems are still exactly the same, so I basically paid for absolutely nothing. What’s worse is the way they treat people. Completely disrespectful, dismissive, and zero accountability. No explanation, no effort to make it right, just take your money and move on. This place feels like a straight-up scam. This place has super helpful and honest folks. The fact that it is on my way from home to work helps. When my battery was acting fidgety and I had a long drive coming up, Kegan did a quick and thorough job changing the battery and also checked and inflated the tires. Update from March 2026: Repeat customer it looks like! Joe explained everything and fixed my brakes (rotor, pads) the same day and explained everything in great detail after the shop had closed. Kudos to excellent service and excellent explanations 🎉.
