Poor Customer Service – 3:30pm 4/26/2011 I should have known I would run into troubles, the first time I stepped into this establishment and overheard one of the employees arguing with a customer about the high cost of what she just purchased. novice car audio installers – I bought a used car that had a system upgrade from Car Toys installed in it. After a while, both the car audio and subwoofer amps blew out. I went to Car Toys to get them replaced with supposedly better quality amps. What a huge headache this became! When I got my car back (after having 2 new amps installed) there was a terrible engine hum sound radiating from the speakers. I went back in the store and requested it to be fixed. A surprise turnaround! – At first my service wasn't great. I was having problems with a car alarm they had installed a number of years ago. The first people that helped me there wer not very helpful, and told me most likely I needed to have a new alarm system installed. But when it came time to replace the alarm, the two people that helped me, JT and Hong, were incredibly helpful, letting me know that I DIDN'T need to replace the alarm, and it was working fine. Almost criminal – My wife and I thought instead of buying a new car we would upgrade her like new 2000 saab with a pioneer multimedia system,backup camera and have the steering wheel controls work with the new system. The install was 600 bucks which we thought was fair. The nightmare started from there. The installer broke the air control assembly and they had to get a new one. Terrible products, no ethics – worst service ever! my bluetooth broke (ie. split into 3 pieces) within 24 hours of purchase and the manager refused to replace anything. was really hard to even get anyone on the phone to resolve the issue with. when i finally did, the manager just told me to go through the legal department- he wouldn't refund anything! am now stuck filing a claim with my insurance company. bottom line- i would NEVER buy anything at this store. car toys has no ethics.

Installation takes too long – I had a car radio & speaker install and it took over 3 hours. The rep assured me it would be done before the store closes at 9pm. But it wasn't done until 9:30 (my appt was at 6pm). I went there for the quality of the install but it's not worth the extra time and money. I won't use them again.

HORRIBLE – I have spend a pretty penny with Car Toys, and had nothing but horrible experiences. They have scratched my dash, scratched the screen to the $1200 deck I had installed, and most recently left a giant ass dent in the corner panel of my Denali... then denied it. At least the moron left some of his tools in my car, which I of course did not return. They are in your face the second you walk in and want you to buy EVERYTHING, then quote you... then sneak in bull$hit "fees". I can say I will NEVER EVER buy a damn thing... read more

Horrible – They installed my own amp which was fine when I took it out of my other car an hour earlier. Told me it was bad and sold me a new amplifier. As soon as I drove away new amp shut off! Told me I needed a more expensive amp so I went to another store who showed me they hooked up my woofers wrong. They blew out my amp and had me by a new one. Now I am out 600$ becuase they screwed up my install! STAY AWAY FROM CAR TOYS!!!

Extended Warranty on phones – Purchased 2 phones from them and the extended warrenty as well. When we needed to have one replaced because it was kicked in the pool we were told it was negligence because it was on the ground next to my daughter sunbathing. No surprise they said it would have to be reviewed. I thought all accidents could be considered negligent? Nothing in the contract on this. Guess I will be one more who takes their business elsewhere. The extended warranty is a ploy!
