All went smoothly! Excellent communication with NPR, and the organization responsible for towing the vehicle. Vehicle was towed timely and as scheduled. Donation paperwork arrived immediately. This was a hassle-free experience, and for a wonderful cause. WDET/NPR is the ONLY radio station I ever listen to!
My 1988 Suburban is a commercial grade 3/4 ton. It has a 8000 lb dry curb weight. A heavy duty transmission and differential. This was a South Carolina vehicle up to 2014 or 2015. Although it has been near the New England Seashore since then, the body is in fair to good condition. Underbody is in excellent condition. The original 454 engine has been replaced by the previous owner with a 383 stroker engine. Unknown mileage on the engine. The rest of the drive train is original.
