Beautiful spot. I hiked the Capulin Peak trail from here, and the views are excellent. The road up here is a wonderful stretch of tarmac if you are a car enthusiast. Great fun even at the speed limit.
Up for birding in the summer and not disappointed. Excellent habitat, nice spring setting used by many birds, several local summer and high woodland species. Great hiking and picnic facilities. Great place for nature and family walks.
Beautiful area, many shaded tables to eat your picnic.
