My favorite place for dinner in Salem , MA – The first thing to notice as you enter this lovely restaurant, perched above some pretty fancy pleasure boats and overlooking the reproduction sailing ship The Friendship, is the genuine warm welcome from whomever is at the desk at the time. Throughout Spring and Summer the upstairs deck is open, even if they must roll down the heavy plastic curtains to protect from passing showers. RUDE HOSTESS – Had a late lunch 8/9/2006 with my wife, middle of my work day end of hers. The food was well prepared and very good. Our waiter was excellent and was well compensated for his professionalism. The hostess is what has ruin our experience as to not return. Prior to seating us she was making a lenghly comment on our "time limit" due to the balcony area was a commody and needed a "quick" turn-around.
