Captain LA Fish & Chicken may not look like much from the outside, but the food is phenomenal! Everything is cooked to order and it has that down home country charm. They do call ahead and take out orders, but there are a few places to sit. Let me be honest, it is not in a glitzy part of town, but the people are friendly, the service is exceptional and that food will make you come back again.
Traveling through north Louisiana and stopped here based off of the Google reviews and I have to say this is hands down the best fried fish and shrimp that I’ve ever had. The shrimp are juicy. The fish is perfectly crispy and flaky. The fries and okra are top notch. The dipping sauce and hot sauce bring everything together. I will be coming back here the next time I drive through Bossier! (Oyster poboy not pictured but was amazing!)
My son-in-law cried it was so good. This is one of the best oyster poboys I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. This is definitely going to be a regular stop on our drive from Dallas to northeast Louisiana.
