At our Posen, IL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

First time there told him what I wanted and I got just that food was fresh and hot and when I say hi it was still hot 20 /25 min after.
I went here after work on a Thursday. I had just gotten over being sick and I wanted some grilled shrimp and fish, something light but filling. The staff was really helpful with helping me pick flavors and exactly what I wanted. However they served me spoiled/outdated shrimp and fish. I purchased the grilled shrimp skewer, grilled white fish fillet, an plain baked potato and broccoli. It came on a bed of rice. I wish I could’ve given this place one star first let me start by saying the food items up here nothing like they do on the menu in person second when I asked the drive-through attendant, what came on a spicy fish sandwich he told me to look at the menu, but I have to give them zero stars. Unfortunately, you have to give one.
