At our Chester, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Hooked on this place! Food always fresh, hot. Yummy sweet T. I always take out. Dining room could use a face-lift?? When u eat in, ur food is served to you. Nice variety of sides.
Had a really good customer service experience here, food was delicious and the vibe was old timey and I can appreciate that.
The best Captain D’s around! The best cook and crew. Always friendly and smiling. Our order is always perfect - fresh, hot and delicious. My autistic son loves their fish meals and hush puppies so much that it’s made the top of his highly preferred food list! He’s now the “Grand Fish Commander of the Fried Fleet - Captain D’s Most Loyal Seafarer” Thank you all for all you do!!
