At our Richmond, VA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Their food quality has gone down even the condiments have no taste. They cut the fish size in half but not the prices. I used to enjoy going but after this recent visit, no more.
My husband Paul and I always say we need to say something about how great this place is! We don’t really eat fast food, but sometimes you need to have some fried fish food. The food never disappoints and what honestly draws our heart to this place is the PEOPLE! We fell in love with a lady who always recognizes us and pays extra attention to our dog Flash. Nice restaurant. Very clean with a modern decor. Many good choices at reasonable prices. Ordered in drive through, but everything was delicious and freshly prepared. Only complaint is that I requested vinegar packets, but was given tartar sauce. Didn’t know until I got home. Ample parking, but limited near the entrance. Handicap accessible.
